Regulatory and Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Compliance Analyst to join our client, a leading direct and digital bank in Canada. This is a hybrid work role, requiring 2-3 days of work from the client office in Downtown Toronto. The contract length is initially 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Canadian financial regulatory frameworks, including OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, and PIPEDA requirements.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts in areas such as KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and sanctions screening.
- Design and implement controls and processes to ensure compliance with OSFI B-10, B-20, and other risk management guidelines.
- Lead initiatives related to Privacy Act and Consumer Protection Frameworks as outlined by FCAC.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to assess the regulatory impact of new digital banking products, ensuring regulatory readiness.
- Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and gap assessments in line with Canadian compliance standards and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Ensure ongoing compliance in digital onboarding, eKYC, open banking, and third-party data sharing in accordance with Canadian federal and provincial regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Finance, or Law.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial services environment with exposure to Canadian regulatory compliance.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and legislation, including OSFI and FCAC guidelines, with the ability to interpret and operationalize them.
- Knowledge of banking compliance policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize, manage workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, with the ability to handle confidential information.
