We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Compliance Analyst to join our client, a leading direct and digital bank in Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days of work from the client office in Downtown Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Canadian financial regulatory frameworks, including OSFI, FINTRAC, FCAC, and PIPEDA requirements.
- Support regulatory compliance in areas such as KYC / AML, transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, and sanctions screening.
- Design and implement controls and processes to ensure adherence to OSFI B-10, B-20, and other risk management guidelines.
- Lead initiatives related to the Privacy Act and Consumer Protection Frameworks outlined by FCAC.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to assess the regulatory impact of new digital banking products, ensuring compliance readiness.
- Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and gap assessments aligned with Canadian standards and risk frameworks.
- Ensure ongoing compliance in digital onboarding, eKYC, open banking, and third-party data sharing, in accordance with Canadian regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Finance, or Law.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial services environment with exposure to Canadian regulatory compliance.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation, including OSFI and FCAC guidelines, with the ability to interpret and operationalize them.
- Understanding of banking compliance policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize, manage workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle confidential information.
- Professional attitude with high ethical standards and confidentiality.
