Job description

Thousands of CPA applications. Every one of them is someone's career.

CPA Ontario is not like other organizations

We operate at a rare intersection, both regulator and membership body, responsible for upholding the integrity of the CPA designation while supporting more than 105,000 members and 19,000 students across the province. Our work sits between business and the public interest, between the evolving demands of industry and the standards that make trust possible.

Careers built here tend to look different because the work itself is different. You are not simply contributing to an organization. You are helping shape a profession that touches nearly every sector of the economy at a moment when expectations, technology, and the nature of work are all being rewritten.

About This Opportunity:

As Registrations Coordinator, you will assess and review CPA student registration, re-registration and admission to membership applications within the Student Assessment and Registrations team, reporting to the Student Registration Manager. The majority of your time is spent processing applications and confirming eligibility, with a significant portion dedicated to tier 2 advisory support that helps students move through each stage with confidence. You will also maintain the accuracy of student records and support registered students transitioning from the Legacy CPA Program to the CPA Professional Program. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is motivated by work that directly supports students on their path to the CPA designation. This is a full-time, twelve-month contract position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Review and process applications for student registration, re-registration and admission to membership, ensuring eligibility requirements are met and all mandatory requirements are fulfilled.
  • Provide tier 2 support and guidance for registration, re-registration, timeline extension, admission to membership and documentation submission inquiries, assisting students through each process while delivering a premium student experience.
  • Ensure data and records accuracy and integrity by completing ongoing data updates and regular maintenance of student records.
  • Support the transition of registered students from the Legacy CPA Program to the CPA Professional Program.
To Be Successful You Need:
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience serving students or customers in a regulatory, membership, educational services or customer-oriented environment.
  • A student and customer focused attitude, with interpersonal skills, tact and discretion to guide people through processes that matter to them.
  • The ability to manage high volumes and competing priorities without compromising accuracy, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • The judgement to recognize when an issue should be flagged or escalated to management.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with XRM and Power BI proficiency, prior experience in a regulatory environment, and knowledge of CPA Ontario regulations and policies all considered assets.
Salary Range
  • The starting annual salary range for this position is between $53,000 - $66,300 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
Why Join CPA Ontario?
  • We support your well-being through industry-leading benefits, mental health resources, savings programs, and a sustainable approach to how work gets done.
  • We are committed to inclusion as a core part of how we operate, not as an afterthought.
  • We have a hybrid working environment, with three days a week on-site, complemented by 2 days of work-from-home time. We are intentional about that: the work we do benefits from being together. We want those days you work from home to be comfortable and offer a one-time bonus towards a home office when you start.
  • We invest in your growth through learning and professional development opportunities, stretch projects, secondments, and genuine paths for career progression.
  • We move quickly. The pace reflects the profession we serve; it can be demanding, but the work matters, and the team around you is invested in the same outcomes you have.
