Full Time Contract Toronto, ON, CA

2 days ago Requisition ID: 1775

Join our Student Assessment Team and begin your career with CPA Ontario

This is a 12-month contract position

CPA Ontario is not like other organizations

We operate at a rare intersection, both regulator and membership body, responsible for upholding the integrity of the CPA designation while supporting more than 105,000 members and 19,000 students across the province. Our work sits between business and the public interest, between the evolving demands of industry and the standards that make trust possible.

Careers built here tend to look different because the work itself is different. You are not simply contributing to an organization. You are helping shape a profession that touches nearly every sector of the economy at a moment when expectations, technology, and the nature of work are all being rewritten.

About This Opportunity:

CPA Ontario is currently in search of several coordinators across our Student Services teams. These Coordinators will be responsible for the coordination and integrity of student and prospect applications, documents, and records. In addition, the position will include reviewing incoming student and prospect applications, verifying completeness and compliance with requirements and policies, and supporting applicants throughout the assessment process, answering questions regarding their documents and assessments, and counselling students on their next steps after they receive their assessment results.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Demonstrating a commitment to students while providing counselling and responding to student inquiries via telephone and email in a timely fashion.
  • Conducting a preliminary review of assessment documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness and determine if follow up is required.
  • Reviewing documentation for degree equivalence, pre-requisite education requirements and eligibility.
  • Exercising professional judgment when completing transcript assessments and identifying eligibility concerns and escalating to the Manager where appropriate.
  • Upholding the Service Level Agreement (SLA) while maintaining a high level of data accuracy.
  • Updating systems and completing data entry to facilitate completion of applications.
  • Maintaining the integrity of educational data in Salesforce for transcript assessment records.

To Be Successful You Need:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or another related discipline.
  • Experience serving students or customers in a regulatory, membership, educational services, or customer-oriented environment.
  • An intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, and skilled in advanced functions of Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is preferred.
  • To be a strong communicator (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal and active listening abilities.
  • To be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • To be a self-starter, who is comfortable using your initiative and working to deadlines.
  • To have excellent attention to detail.
  • To be a team player, who enjoys collaboration and is willing to help their teammates.

Salary Range

  • The starting annual salary range for this position is between $42,400 - $53,000 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.

Why Join CPA Ontario?

  • We support your well-being through industry-leading benefits, mental health resources, savings programs, and a sustainable approach to how work gets done.
  • We are committed to inclusion as a core part of how we operate, not as an afterthought.
  • We have a hybrid working environment, with three days a week on-site, complemented by 2 days of remote working. We are intentional about that: the work we do benefits from being together. We want those days you work from home to be comfortable and offer a one-time bonus towards a home office when you start.
  • We invest in your growth through learning and professional development opportunities, stretch projects, secondments, and genuine paths for career progression.
  • We move quickly. The pace reflects the profession we serve; it can be demanding, but the work matters, and the team around you is invested in the same outcomes you have.
