Job summary

CPA Ontario is seeking a detail-oriented Student Services Specialist to coordinate and review student and prospect applications, documents and work experience records across the Student Services unit. You will assess eligibility, compliance and completeness while delivering accurate guidance to students and employers.

The role supports employer relations and program administration, maintains records, generates reports, and helps move candidates toward CPA designation in a fast-paced, high-volume

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment with accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency with Office tools and CRM systems, plus data integrity focus.

  • Generate reports and analyze information to support decision-making and monitor workload and risks.

About This Opportunity:

As Student Services Specialist, you will coordinate and review student and prospect applications, documents and work experience records within the Student Services business unit, working across the Employer Relations and Student Assessments and Registrations teams. You will conduct assessments, resolve complex inquiries from students, employers and internal stakeholders, support employer compliance, and maintain the accuracy of the records that program decisions depend on. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who exercises sound judgement in applying policy, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is motivated by work that keeps students moving toward the CPA designation. This is a 6-to-12-month contract position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Conduct assessments of student records, completion reports and work experience submissions in accordance with established policies, regulations and program requirements, reviewing documentation to determine eligibility, compliance and completeness.
  • Apply professional judgement when evaluating complex cases, identify issues that require escalation, and ensure consistency, quality and compliance in assessment outcomes while maintaining established service standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, prospects, employers and internal stakeholders on transcript assessment, student registration and practical experience requirements, providing expert guidance on program expectations, reporting requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Lead discussions with employers to address compliance concerns, reporting issues and required corrective actions, and support employer onboarding, maintenance and program administration activities.
  • Maintain the accuracy, consistency and integrity of student and employer records within Student Services systems, reviewing and updating records to ensure compliance with organizational standards and assisting with data cleanup and ongoing system improvement initiatives.
  • Generate reports and analyze information to support operational decision-making and program monitoring, monitor workflows and support workload distribution, and identify trends, risks and recurring issues with recommended actions that support program integrity.
To Be Successful You Need:
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in operations, administration, compliance, or customer, student or member services, or a related field.
  • Experience interpreting policies, standards, regulations or program requirements, with a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions within established guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment, with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and with Salesforce or a comparable CRM or case management system, along with strength in planning, coordination and organization, and a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with strong customer service and stakeholder relationship management, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative, accountable approach.
Salary Range
  • The starting annual salary range for this position is between $66,300 - $82,900 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
