Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Brantford, ON is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide nursing care in accordance with policy and the resident plan of care. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will work within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN to support residents' daily living.

This role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment, teamwork, and communication with residents and families, with biweekly rotations and competitive compensation reflecting the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation or senior health is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada or valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Perform admission, readmission, and status changes, with ongoing resident assessments.

What You’ll Be Doing

Who You Are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
