Job summary

Hawthorn Woods Community in Brampton is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team under the Sienna Senior Living family. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing and personal care to residents, under a collective agreement with pay in the stated range.

You will work under the Director of Care, contributing to a supportive, respectful environment that enhances residents' daily living and comfort.

Qualifications

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry is an asset
• Good judgement and ability to identify risk, fostering a positive work environment
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents

What you’ll be doing:

Who you are
