Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a temporary part-time night shift (11pm–7am) at Weston Terrace Community in Toronto, ON. The role supports residents with comprehensive nursing care under the direction of the Director of Care.

Rate of pay is $33.45–$35.07 per hour under the Collective Agreement. This vacancy is for an existing position, offering a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or hold a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per resident plan and established policy.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care following sound nursing principles.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment through teamwork and effective communication.
• Oversee resident care with regular communication to residents and families while guiding staff.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
