Job summary

Spencer House in Orillia, ON is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for permanent part-time night shifts. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $29.53–$31.05 and requires active registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.

You will provide quality nursing and personal care, follow the resident plan of care, and support a safe, dignified living environment for residents. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will supervise care staff, communicate with residents and families, and

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
