Sienna Senior Living in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a temporary full-time evening shift at Woods Park Community and Retirement. Earn hourly wages of $33.24–$34.78 per hour under the collective agreement while delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting residents' daily life with dignity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Licensed as RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care following sound nursing practice principles.
• Create a welcoming environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care with regular communication with residents and families; provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Administer admissions, readmissions, and changes in status; provide ongoing resident assessments.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
