WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Fergus, ON to support children in school and home settings. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and collaboration with families. Scheduling is flexible with specific shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Provide seizure care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, per CNO standards.
• Monitor and secure medications and narcotics.
• Maintain child records in line with CNO standards.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes to family and WeeCare.

Position

Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Fergus, ON.

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 06:45–20:30
• Saturday: 07:00-15:00, as needed

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management
• Provide seizure care and management
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements
