Purpose:

• The Registered Practical Nurse will prepare patients for injections by administering drops & topical anesthetic within multiple clinics. They assist the customer by answering questions and providing post care instructions.
• Great Nursing Opportunity with Flexible hours. No requirement to work weekends, evenings, or statutory holidays (including Christmas).
• Job Title: PT Registered Practical Nurse
• Location: Belleville; must be willing to travel to satellite clinic locations (Ajax, Port Hope, Cornwall, and Smith Falls)

Job Responsibilities:

• Sterile preparation of patient prior to intravitreal injection including use of tonometer for IOP findings
• Necessary drops and topical anesthetic
• Answering questions and offering post care instructions to the patient
• Consulting with Retina Specialists regarding any findings during preparations etc.
• Candidate must be willing to travel to multiple clinics in the area

Qualifications:

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Pharmacy or healthcare knowledge an asset
• Travel flexibility, driver's license a must.
