Job summary

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a licensed RPN who is responsible to assess, plan and provide interventions, utilizing the current Standards of Practice (RPN College of Nurses of Ontario) in accordance with hospital goals and objectives for assigned patients.

Must be willing to work all shifts, a 12-hour rotation and weekends; knowledge of First Nations culture and Ojib Cree language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario, as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse required.
• Current Basic CPR certificate required.
• Current pharmacology certificate required.
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing interventions per the RPN Scope of Practice.
• Be available to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
• Work the present 12-hour shift rotation.
• Be available to work weekends.
• Prioritize and organize care for patients.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
