Job summary

Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a licensed RPN to assess, plan and provide interventions, following the Ontario RPN standards of practice to support hospital goals.

The role requires current CNO license as an RPN, CPR and pharmacology certificates, and 6 months to 1 year of experience. You must be willing to work 12-hour shifts and be adaptable to a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario, as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse required.
• Current Basic CPR certificate required.
• Current pharmacology certificate required.
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience preferred.
• Good communication, interaction with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and provide interventions in line with the Standards of Practice for RPNs.
• Must be available to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
• Work the 12-hour shift rotation as required.
• Prioritize and organize patient care.
• Demonstrate multi-disciplinary approach to care.
• Communicate effectively with others, flexible to changing situations.
• Maintain regular attendance.

• Must adhere to organizational policies and procedures concerning cleaning, hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment in support of Infection Control measures and attend training when necessary.
