Job summary

Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Ontario is seeking a licensed Registered Practical Nurse to assess, plan and provide interventions in line with the Standards of Practice. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient goals and overall care.

Applicants must hold a current Ontario RPN license, CPR and pharmacology certificates, and have 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred. Knowledge of First Nations culture and Oji-Cree language is an asset.

Qualifications

• Licensed RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• CPR certification current.
• Pharmacology certificate current.
• 6–12 months of experience preferred.
• Strong communication with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing interventions as outlined by the RPN Scope of Practice.
• Must be available to work all shifts and sites as assigned.
• Willing to work the present 12-hour shift rotation.
• Ability to prioritize and organize patient care.
• Demonstrated multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Maintain composure in a busy, stressful environment.

Job Summary:

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking a licensed RPN who is responsible to assess, plan & provide interventions, utilizing the current Standards of Practice (RPN college of Nurses of Ontario), in accordance with the hospital goals and objectives, for assigned patients.

Qualifications:

• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario, as a licensed Registered Practical Nurse required
• Current Basic CPR certificate required
• Current pharmacology certificate required
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience preferred
• Good communication, interaction with staff and residents

Job Duties:

• Ability to provide appropriate nursing interventions as outlined by the College of Nurses RPN Scope of Practice
• Must be available to work all shifts and sites as assigned
• Must be willing to work the present 12-hour shift rotation
• Ability to prioritize and organize
