Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
  • Experience with long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer/EMR systems and data entry.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
  • Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
  • Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
  • Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. Role Accountabilities
  • Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information,
  • Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
  • Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to The Team
  • Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
  • Knowledge of KROLL, PCC or Catalyst Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
  • Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated computer or work processing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Location: This is an on-site role located at 17969 106 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T5S 2H1 and follows a five-day work week with weekend rotations.
