Job summary

Position Summary: The Registered Pharmacy Technician will provide safe and effective drug distribution services to numerous facilities. This may include gaining knowledge in geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications as well as developing quick and accurate checking skills to support final checks in compounding, compliance packaging and other prescription requirements.

Your Day to Day
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Provide final check in team‑based workflow environment and also be involved in the quality assurance team
  • Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for delivery
  • Accept verbal prescriptions from prescribing authorities
  • Perform the final check of prepared prescriptions
What You Bring to the Team
  • Current registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP)
  • Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in long‑term care setting is a strong asset
  • Retail/Community/Long‑Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated computer or word‑processing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to manage priorities in a time‑sensitive environment; possesses strong organizational skills
  • Ability to benefit from coaching and instruction for quality processes; comfort with and accepting constructive feedback
