Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, Alberta or Ontario.
• Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
• Maintain confidentiality and a clean pharmacy environment; adhere to ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role Accountabilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information,
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT), Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Compensation Range: $30-$34/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location: This is on-site role at our Oakville Pharmacy location and follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
