Job summary

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician for our on-site Victoria, BC pharmacy. You will assist the Staff Pharmacist with prescription preparation, packaging and distribution, ensuring accuracy before release.

This five-day on-site role at Victoria Pharmacy (570 Bay Street) offers a competitive hourly wage of $33–$36 CAD and flexible benefits. A valid RPhT and LTC systems experience are preferred to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Experience with long-term care pharmacy systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication and accuracy are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of prescriptions.
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Verify data entry in eMAR and Kroll; perform final checks for accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and confidentiality; ensure a clean pharmacy environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Accountabilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information,
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to The Team

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL, PCC or Catalyst Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range

$33- $36/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is an on-site role located at our Victoria Pharmacy (570 Bay Street Victoria, BC) and follows a five-day work week with weekend rotations.
