Job summary

CareRx in Victoria, BC, is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support the Staff Pharmacist in packaging and distributing prescriptions across facilities. You will verify authenticity, assist with data entry in eMAR and Kroll, and ensure quality checks while maintaining confidentiality in a clean, compliant environment. The role emphasizes geriatrics care, with a stable five‑day work week and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Verify data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and perform final checks prior to release.
• Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality; uphold ethical standards.
• Support a clean, compliant pharmacy environment and assist with other duties as assigned.

Role Accountabilities:

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information,
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to The Team:

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL, PCC or Catalyst Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range:

$33- $36/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location

This is an on-site role located at our Victoria Pharmacy (570 Bay Street Victoria, BC) and follows a five-day work week with weekend rotations.
