Job summary

Newmont’s Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide emergency, primary, occupational, and preventative healthcare in a remote mining environment. The role supports safety, emergency preparedness, and productive operations at the Brucejack site.

You will deliver a full spectrum of care, triage and manage injuries, coordinate transport when needed, and maintain meticulous medical records, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of recent experience in Emergency, Critical Care/ICU, Rural/Remote, Emergency Transport, or other high-acuity clinical settings.
• Current BLS (CPR-HCP) and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in remote or low-resource environments.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Microsoft Office, and telemedicine platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency, urgent, primary, and occupational healthcare services.
• Assess, triage, treat, and monitor workplace and non-workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate patient transport or evacuation when required.
• Support occupational health, wellness, health surveillance, and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clinic readiness and emergency response capability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. The expected salary range for this role is CAD $85,400.00 - $113,900.00 + 15% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
