Job summary

Newmont Corporation's Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia seeks an experienced Millwright to maintain, troubleshoot, and overhaul underground assets to support safe, efficient production.

This camp-based role features a 12-hour shift cycle (13x13 rotation), full benefits, and a defined contribution pension. Requires Red Seal Millwright Certification and 5+ years in industrial maintenance; SAP/CMMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright Certification.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably underground mining.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• SAP or CMMS experience is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on underground fixed assets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and complete repairs to required standards.
• Support safety programs, inspections, and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain work orders and maintenance records using SAP CMMS.
• Collaborate with planners and operations teams to ensure parts, tools, and resources are available for scheduled work.

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact

Keep critical underground mining equipment operating safely and reliably. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul fixed assets including conveyors, crushers, pumps, compressors, fans, feeders, and other underground infrastructure to support safe and efficient production.

As Part of the Team

Prerequisites

• Red Seal Millwright Certification.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in underground mining.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• SAP or CMMS experience is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

• Remote camp-based operation on a 13x13 rotation with travel days.
• 12‑hour shifts in underground mining conditions.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and wear required PPE, including respiratory protection.
• Safety‑focused environment with mandatory pre‑employment medical, drug, and alcohol testing.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $63.35/hr + 10% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job‑related education, training, and/or experience.
