Job summary

Guerlain Spa at Hotel X Toronto is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist to uphold the Guerlain brand, its history and rituals while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will perform signature spa rituals, provide advanced massages, and maintain a high level of professionalism with a personalized diagnosis.

Include a strong focus on comfort, guest care, and loyalty-building in a luxury setting, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as part of our boutique spa team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Massage Therapy or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury spa environments.
• Knowledge of multiple massage techniques and spa rituals.

Responsibilities

• Be an Ambassador for the GUERLAIN brand, its history, values and know-how, sharing enthusiasm with customers.
• Provide the GUERLAIN SPA massage experience, performing rituals and maintaining high professionalism.
• Be an “aesthetic virtuoso”: apply pioneering and technical massage methods.
• Customize treatments with diagnosis and build lasting client relationships.
• Prepare the treatment cabin, welcome guests and ensure the full service ritual is followed.

CONTRIBUTIONS & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a brand ambassador

• Embody the brand’s history and values and share your enthusiasm with customers
• Represent Guerlain’s massage therapy treatment's know-how, demonstrating a high level of professionalism

Provide a unique treatment experience enhanced with outstanding service

• Create an extraordinary treatment experience for each one of our customers by performing the GUERLAIN SPA rituals
• Ensure you are always completely familiar with Guerlain’s protocols, products, services/rituals, and DNA
• Be an “aesthetic virtuoso”: offer customers pioneering and highly technical treatment and massage methods and techniques
• Customize the treatments with an in-depth diagnosis
• Build a lasting relationship with customers, secure their loyalty

Broad competences as a Massage Therapist

• Ensure that the welcome ritual is followed precisely, that the cabin is prepared, and that the diagnosis, treatment, service rituals and customer follow-up are all performed perfectly.
• Ensure professional massages are provided with a variety of techniques including but not limited to: Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy, warm stone, sports massage, reflexology, acupressure, and lymph drainage.
• Ensure that you have perfect knowledge of the tools used for diagnosis (knowledge of the skin, muscles, aging process, global approach to beauty and well-being etc.)
• Achieve sales and rebooking objectives

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Massage Therapy (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience working in the world of luxury and Massage
• Knowledge and mastery of at least 3 different massage techniques from around the world

Salary

$50 - $65 per hour plus gratuities
