Job summary

Lakewood Dental Centre in Edmonton, part of the dentalcorp network, is seeking a Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant to join our patient‑focused practice. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, and help with chart updates and patient education in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

Schedule:

• Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
