Job summary

Westmount Dental Centre in Edmonton seeks a Temporary Registered Dental Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and ensure sterile, compliant operations while educating patients on oral health.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with provincial regulator.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Your Role:

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
