Job summary

Westmount Dental Centre in Edmonton is seeking a Temporary Registered Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-focused team. This contract role runs full-time, Monday to Friday with bi-weekly Saturdays, ending May 2027.

The successful candidate will assist dentists and hygienists, manage patient flow, and uphold rigorous infection control standards. We value growth and offer competitive compensation, opportunities for CE, and a supportive environment focused on patient care and practice

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
