Our customers are homeowners seeking energy efficiency, contractors who want a competitive edge, and building professionals who need comprehensive solutions. We are looking for a Sales Manager supporting our Greater Ontario market.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for achieving sales goals and driving profitable growth by positioning Plasti-Fab as the supplier. You will oversee sales operations in the Ontario & Quebec region, lead the sales team, and be accountable for meeting sales and profitability targets.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Meet sales financial objectives through forecasting, budgeting, expenditure management, and variance analysis.
  • Lead, manage performance, coach, mentor, hire, and develop the sales team.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with regular contact and reliable service to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain market intelligence on conditions, competitors, products, and pricing; share insights within the company.
  • Create opportunities for product application promotion to designers, architects, contractors, owners, suppliers, and at trade shows.
  • Manage customer expectations and handle issues professionally.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate order scheduling with the production team.
  • Support other business activities as needed.
  • Represent the company in professional and industry organizations.

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

  • Strong leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing sales staff.
  • Ability to motivate employees.
  • Solid knowledge of construction materials, products, and applications.
  • Familiarity with building code legislation.
  • Experience with design, estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Understanding of shipping and manufacturing logistics.
  • Motivated and flexible to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with built-up roofing is an asset.
  • AutoCAD experience is an asset.

Education And Experience

  • Post-secondary education in technical or business administration (B.Sc./B.Comm or equivalent).
  • CET or P. Eng qualification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven sales management experience.

Equipment Used

  • Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.
  • Typically Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with flexibility as required by the VP, Sales.

  • Travel is required for this position.
