About You:

We are seeking a passionate individual with strong communication and sales skills, ideally located in the GTA or Ottawa/Montreal areas, to manage and grow our customer accounts at Drexel.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, the National Account Manager will work closely with the Retail Sales Team. The role involves managing national retail accounts across Canada and the USA, focusing on both inline and online sales.

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain, develop, and create sustainable, profitable sales programs.
  2. Manage and grow sales at retail accounts.
  3. Meet and exceed sales and gross profit objectives quarter over quarter, while increasing share and distribution.
  4. Develop proposals for new and existing accounts, ensuring strong financial results.
  5. Manage forecasting accurately on a monthly and seasonal basis.
  6. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge through continuous learning.
  7. Build relationships with Buyers and Category Management to gain market and customer insights.
  8. Ensure key account coverage based on agreed frequency.
  9. Understand customer needs and specialty areas to meet account requirements.
  10. Communicate regularly with internal teams across departments.
  11. Identify and pursue opportunities within each account.
  12. Develop strong relationships with retail clients to foster long-term growth.
  13. Conduct account and market reviews with KPIs, best practices, and key learnings.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Preference for candidates residing in GTA or Ottawa/Montreal, especially bilingual candidates.

  3. Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  4. At least 5 years of experience in account management with national retailers.
  5. Recent experience in sales or buying with major big box/ecommerce retailers or regional chains in Canada/USA.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  7. Ability to travel within Canada and the USA.
  8. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Job Location: Fully remote with occasional travel.
