Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking a senior HR partner to manage the Canadian business's full employee lifecycle and deliver high-quality HR support. You will collaborate with North American leaders to implement strategic HR initiatives, lead workforce planning, and coach executives on people matters.

The role requires strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, experience in logistics or related sectors, and the ability to travel within North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or warehousing is asset.
• Experience leading strategic HR initiatives such as organizational development or change management.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Willingness to travel within North America.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the Canadian business, overseeing the full employee lifecycle.
• Partner with executive leadership across North America to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives.
• Lead organizational development initiatives including workforce planning and succession planning.
• Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and change management.
• Conduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Lead annual compensation planning and benefits administration in Canada.
• Oversee Canadian employee lifecycle management in HRIS systems (Workday, ADP) and ensure data integrity.
• Develop and maintain employment documentation and policy updates.
• Monitor contracts, leaves, and compliance requirements.
• Analyze workforce metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Review and update HR policies to meet Canadian laws.
