Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned regional routes.
• Transport specialized equipment, ensuring secure handling and delivery.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, focusing on mechanical components.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and report issues.

About the Role

Our client, a national supplier of specialized industrial equipment, is seeking a diligent and mechanically inclined Regional Delivery Driver to cover routes within the Kimberley region and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a driver who not only excels at safe transportation but also possesses a keen interest in vehicle maintenance and proactive upkeep. You will be responsible for delivering sensitive equipment, ensuring its safe arrival and proper handling, as well as performing basic maintenance checks and reporting on vehicle condition. The successful candidate will represent Our client professionally and contribute to the reliable supply of essential goods in Kimberley. This hybrid role requires a commitment to both driving excellence and ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the company's delivery fleet. You will be an integral part of the operational success in the Northern Cape.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle moderately heavy equipment (up to 30kg).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Mechanical knowledge or experience as a mechanic's assistant is a strong advantage.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
