About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their Kimberley, Northern Cape facility. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining high standards of productivity, and managing a team of warehouse associates. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse processes. This position requires hands-on involvement in the day-to-day activities of the distribution center in the heart of the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
• Ensure efficient workflow and productivity targets are met within the Kimberley distribution center.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock checks to minimize discrepancies.
• Train and mentor warehouse associates, providing guidance on job performance and safety.
• Operate and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and usage.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facilities.
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or management are advantageous.
