Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Breslau, ON is seeking a Regional Class AZ Tanker Driver to join a safety-conscious team. The route runs from Breslau, ON to various site-disposal locations, including cross-border trips to the USA. Expect 55–60 hours weekly, union position, and wage of $35.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Class AZ CDL required.
• TDG and Tanker endorsements required.
• Must be able to climb and work from heights.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission (10, 13, 18 speed).
• Must have valid Canadian Passport.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and DOT requirements.
• Transports re-refined and used motor oil to customers and Safety-Kleen locations using a tractor-trailer tanker.
• Collects fuel loads and water materials and transports to Safety-Kleen recycle center.
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper unit utilization.
• Plates vehicle per DOT regulations.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, and vehicle inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Transports re-refined and used motor oil to customer and Safety-Kleen locations, utilizing a tractor-trailer tanker unit
• Collects fuel loads and water materials from Clean Harbors/Safety-Kleen branches and transports to our Safety-Kleen recycle center
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Class AZ CDL
• TDG and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to climb and work from heights
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
• Ability to drive a manual transmission (10, 13, 18 speed)
• Valid Canadian Passport
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
• Must be willing to perform trips cross border to the US
