Job summary

Belimo in Vancouver seeks a Regional Application Consultant to lead consulting engineering calls in the assigned territory and coordinate with District Sales Managers on strategies to build relationships and achieve objectives. Residence in British Columbia is required.

You will support end users and engineering customers with product training, troubleshooting, and applications excellence, driving new business while maintaining existing relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
• 5 Years of proven track record in consulting engineering, or 5 years applicable experience in HVAC or related technical field.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiation skills are required.
• Strong communications and presentation skills are a must.
• Self-starting personality to efficiently structure work schedule and work from home office.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.
• Travel requirements of position is approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts by cultivating relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers, providing training, information, recommendations and troubleshooting.
• Provide applications excellence to drive and support Belimo products and sales strategy.
• Assist sales force in developing new business using pull-through sales to acquire specifications and demand.
• Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to stakeholders to develop new business.
• Generate leads for sales managers and develop technical trainings and Belimo University programs as required.
• Collaborate with DSMs and Field Sales Engineers to troubleshoot product issues at customer sites and rectify.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering to develop Master Belimo Specifications for products.
• Write and influence specifications for engineers and end users.
• Utilize sales tools including Best and Select Pro.

Summary

The Regional Application Consultant is responsible for providing leadership to all Contracting Sales Managers with regards to end users and consulting engineering calls in an assigned territory coordinate with the District Sales Managers on strategies to develop relationships, based on qualitative and quantitative objectives in the Contracting Business.

This position oversees the Vancouver Sales Territory - Residence in British Colombia is required.

What You’ll Do

• Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers providing product training, information, recommendations and troubleshooting issues.
• Provide applications excellence to drive and support all Belimo products. Support sales strategy to maintain and grow our existing repeat business though service, relationship, product knowledge, and application knowledge.
• Utilize applications expertise to assist sales force in the development of new business utilizing “pull through” sales efforts for the purpose of acquiring specifications and demand for our products.
• Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to Contracting Sales Force, Product Management and Engineering to develop new business.
• Keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales managers. Take a lead role in development of technical Lunch & Learns and conduct training programs including Belimo University Programs as required.
• Work closely with the DSM’s and Field Sales Engineers to trouble shoot product issues at customer sites and help rectify the situation for the customers.
• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop Master Belimo Specifications for new and existing products.
• Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
• Effectively utilize sales tools including Best and Select Pro.
• Work on committees or special projects as requested

Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
