CJ Brubacher Ltd. in Waterloo Region is seeking a Refrigeration Technician (313A Apprentice or Journeyperson) to join our growing team and support residential and commercial refrigeration work.

This Elmira-based, in-person role offers long-term career growth across multiple divisions. Applicants should be nearing completion of Refrigeration hours, possess a valid G driver's licence, ODP certification, and preferred 313A credentials.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot commercial and residential refrigeration systems.
• Service walk-in coolers, freezers, heat pumps, and HVAC components.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing technical and professional development.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot commercial and residential refrigeration systems
• Service walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigeration equipment, heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical and professional development training
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Qualifications – Required

• Registered 313A Refrigeration Apprentice or Licensed 313A Refrigeration Mechanic
• Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract
• ODP Certification
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred

• Candidates who have completed or are nearing completion of their Refrigeration apprenticeship hours
• Residential refrigeration and HVAC experience
• Commercial refrigeration experience
• Experience with heat pumps and modern refrigeration systems
• G2 or G1 Gas Technician Licence considered an asset
