The MRG Group in Toronto, ON is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to support our hiring efforts nationwide, with a focus on hospitality venues. You are organized, people-focused, and ready to deliver a positive candidate experience at scale in a fast-paced environment.

This is an early-career role designed to build recruitment processes, lead onboarding, and partner with HR to improve timelines and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recruitment, HR, coordination, or people operations.
• Experience supporting hourly, high-volume or customer-facing roles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities.
• Attention to detail and clear communication with candidates.
• Interest in building a longer-term career in recruitment.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, people-first environment.
• Experience in hospitality or events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain candidate records and workflows in Asana and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

• Learn MRG’s recruitment processes, timelines, and hiring standards.
• Support recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, hiring events and internship programs.

What You’ll Work On

First 6 Months – Learn & Support

• Support interview and hiring activities for hourly and entry-level salaried roles across multiple venues.
• Coordinate job postings, interview scheduling, reference checks and offer documentation.
• Maintain candidate records and workflows in Asana and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Assist with interview guides, scorecards and onboarding checklists.
• Support hiring managers with timely communication and a consistent candidate experience.
• Learn MRG’s recruitment processes, timelines, and hiring standards.
• Support MRG’s recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, hiring events and internship programs.

Ongoing – Grow & Contribute

• Lead high-volume hourly hiring, particularly for hospitality venue-based roles.
• Partner with HR and MRG U to support special programs, including internship programs.
• Support proactive hiring efforts by screening and reaching out to potential candidates.
• Support sourcing efforts and talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
• Conduct phone and virtual candidate screens (training and support provided).
• Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire and candidate flow.
• Take on increased responsibility and ownership as experience and confidence grow.
• Partner with the HR team on identifying and executing initiatives towards continuous improvement.
