Job summary

Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency in Saskatoon is seeking an Associate to help develop recruitment and retention strategies, build external relationships, and advise on licensure pathways for physicians and health professionals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of recruitment strategies locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Establish and maintain effective external relationships (employers, regulators, post-secondary institutions).
  • Provide information on professional licensure and required examinations for Saskatchewan work.
  • Build relationships with students, residents, physicians and health professionals to influence working decisions.
  • Support and troubleshoot candidate profile software to provide insights for opportunities.
  • Provide front-line service on programs, incentives, licensing resources and job postings.
  • Contribute to candidate sourcing, initial screening, tracking and reporting.

The Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies that facilitate the local, national and international recruitment and retention of physicians and health professionals in collaboration with our partners.

The Associate will:
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, policies, programs, practices and tactics in local, national and international environments.
  • Establish and maintain effective external relationships (e.g. employers, regulators, post-secondary institutions)
  • Provide specialized and complex information on professional licensure, including required national examinations and assessment pathways, to physicians and health professionals considering Saskatchewan as a place to work/practice.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, residents, physicians and health professionals to influence their decision on where to work/practice.
  • Utilize, support and troubleshoot software that hosts candidate profiles to ensure the Agency has the insights needed to promote career opportunities
  • provide front-line service to public and others on services and programs such as incentives, resources for licensing and job posting
  • Contribute to sourcing and recruitment activities such initial screening of profiles and resumes; tracking and reporting.

From time to time, local, national and international travel may be required. Work hours maybe outside of regular office hours, including evenings and weekends.

Typically, the knowledge and competencies for this position would have been acquired through:

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in human resources or commerce/business administration or other relevant field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with diverse and external clients, ideally in human resource recruitment.

Knowledge of physician and health professional licensure would be an asset
