Job summary

Simon Fraser University is seeking a Recreation Office Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations of the Recreation Office and support staff training and progress tracking. The role involves exceptional customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the public, plus managing financial transactions and reconciling with POS systems.

The candidate will collaborate with the Manager, Recreation Programs, contribute data for informed business decisions, and foster an inclusive, cooperative team

Qualifications

• High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education or equivalent; 3 years experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical reasoning abilities.
• Ability to train staff and lead a collaborative, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Recreation Office and support staff training.
• Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty and the public in person, by phone and email.
• Process and reconcile financial transactions using POS systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the Manager, Recreation Programs with data collection to inform practices.
