Job summary

Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, seeks a Recreational Sports Supervisor to lead intramurals, sport clubs, and instructional programs. You will oversee student staff development and budget planning, ensuring safe, engaging activities for all students on campus.

This role supports partnerships with campus stakeholders, manages risk, and drives data-informed decisions to enhance student belonging and healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical literacy, recreation, physical education, sport management, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Standard First Aid & Basic Rescuer CPR.
• Ability to supervise multiple part-time staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, evaluation of intramurals, sport clubs, drop-in activities, tournaments, and instruction.
• Cultivate partnerships with campus stakeholders to deliver accessible, engaging initiatives.
• Collaborate on safety protocols and risk mitigation for events and clubs.
• Monitor incidents and report findings to the Associate Director of Recreation.
