Job summary

Dexterra Group in Markham is seeking a professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for employees, clients, visitors and guests. You will provide courteous reception and administrative support to ensure the workplace runs smoothly and efficiently.

The successful candidate will greet visitors, answer calls, manage mail, assist with pantry and supplies, and coordinate meeting spaces while maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, office administration, or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a corporate or facilities environment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and welcoming reception services to employees, clients, visitors, and guests.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and respond to general inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Greet and assist visitors and maintain a professional reception area.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and courier services, including collection, sorting, dispatch, and distribution.
  • Support pantry service delivery, including maintaining supplies and ensuring pantry areas are organized and adequately stocked.
  • Manage office supplies, including monitoring inventory, placing orders, receiving supplies, and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Support meeting room management, including coordinating room bookings, preparing rooms, and ensuring meeting spaces are ready for use.
  • Assist with general administrative duties and workplace service requests as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established workplace procedures and service standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the client and internal teams to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
