Job summary

ErinoakKids Center for Treatment and Development in Brampton is seeking a friendly Receptionist to be the first contact for clients. You will support the Family Experience team with front-desk duties, appointment scheduling, and data entry in Meditech.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a similar role, a related college diploma, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Bilingual English/French is an asset, with immunization and compliance requirements noted.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in a similar receptionist/clerical role.
• A college diploma in a related field is an asset.
• Proficient with standard office equipment (multiline phones, copy/fax, postage meters).
• MS Office proficiency and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and respond to inquiries in person and by phone, directing concerns per policy.
• Enter and manage client appointments in Meditech; ensure data integrity.
• Maintain client confidentiality and manage site mail and reception area.
• Support emergency procedures and act as a point of contact during codes.

Permanent Part Time Brampton Site

30 hours/week
(Monday to Thursday – 12:30pm to 7:30pm, Fridays- 1:00pm to 5:00pm)

Compensation Range: $24.46 – $28.59/hour

Position Summary:

ErinoakKids is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Receptionist at our Brampton site. Reporting to Supervisor, Family Experience, the Receptionist acts as a first point of contact for our clients and your personality, attitude, and organizational and problem-solving skills influence a client’s impression and experience of the organization.

The successful candidate will provide a positive image of ErinoakKids and will participate as an active member of the site in meeting overall goals and objectives. The Receptionist’s front-line duties and related administrative functions ensure client and staff needs are supported and that the client’s overall experience with the organization is positive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responds to client and general inquiries in person and by telephone, and directs client concerns appropriately following organizational policy;
• Enters, attends, and edits client appointments in Meditech, as required;
• Accountable for appointment outcomes and data integrity related to appointments;
• Ensure client confidentiality at all times;
• Responsible for overall incoming/outgoing mail for the site;
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized reception area;
• Acts as a main point of contact during emergency codes and procedures and supports any emergency procedures as per organizational policy.
• Must be available to work Monday through Thursday,12:30 -7:30 pm and Friday, 1:00pm-5:00pm

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role;
• A college diploma in a related field is an asset;
• Proficient knowledge of office equipment (postage meter machines, fax machines, photocopiers and multi-line telephone systems);
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others;
• Ability to problem-solve effectively to meet the requests and needs of clients and staff;
• Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner using good judgment;
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products;
• Working knowledge of Meditech information systems is an asset;
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
