Job summary

Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton is hiring a RECE After School Educator to support school-age children in our Greensville/Dundas program. The role is part-time (19 hours/week) with a 2:30pm–6:00pm schedule, Monday to Friday, and a wage of CAD 28.00 per hour under the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience with children in a childcare setting.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
• Active registration with the College of ECE, with good standing.
• Standard First Aid with CPR Level C.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities to support children’s development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Maintain an engaging environment for children and families.
• Complete documentation and meet Ministry of Education requirements.
• Collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty.

We operate full-day early learning and childcare centres for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with before and after school extended-day programs for kindergarten and school-aged children at over 27 locations across the Greater Hamilton Area.

Total Weekly Hours: 19hours per week

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)

Certifications:
