Job summary

Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton is seeking an RECE After School Educator for Greensville Centre in Dundas, ON. This part-time role (19 hours/week) runs Monday to Friday, 2:30pm–6:00pm, with a pay rate of 28.00 per hour.

You will support children after school, plan activities, and ensure safety and a welcoming environment. Qualifications include a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), active RECE registration, first aid with CPR, and a current immunization record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
• Active registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and good standing.
• Standard First Aid with CPR Level C.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (Satisfactory).
• Up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities to support children's development across cognitive, physical, social, and emotional domains.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Maintain an engaging, welcoming environment for children and families.
• Complete documentation and meet Ministry of Education requirements.
• Collaborate with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty.
