Primary Scope of Role:

• Perform lab testing of asphalt, Marshall and Super pave samples.
• Assist with asphalt mix designs and performance testing.
• Perform lab testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Assist with sampling of materials for laboratory testing.
• Assist in proper care, control, and maintenance of testing equipment, including timely calibrations of laboratory equipment when required.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures.
• Complete reports, worksheets, and checklists as per test methods and inform lab supervisors of any non-conformances and deviations.
• Perform other duties as instructed.

Position Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a 2- or 3-year college program such as Civil / Construction Engineering Technology or an equivalent program is an asset but not required.
• Prior laboratory testing experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with supervisors and team members.
• Ability to use and maintain various lab equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• May be required to travel and work in mobile laboratories throughout Ontario.
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to work long shifts and extended hours, including overtime as necessary.
