Job summary

Scarborough Transit Connect is actively seeking an Assistant Quality Manager to support the Quality Manager in maintaining the Project Quality Management System (QMS) for the SSE-SRS package. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality requirements across design, construction, and handover, and on driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have an Ontario certification as Engineering Technologist, 8+ years in quality roles, and knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Certified Engineering Technologist registered in Ontario or equivalent.
• 8+ years in quality-focused roles (coordinator, specialist, lead inspector).
• Experience in infrastructure/transportation or heavy civil is asset.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
• Internal Auditor certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Knowledge of Canadian industry standards and quality practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Manager in maintaining the QMS.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and project objectives.
• Coordinate quality activities across design, construction, handover.
• Develop and maintain CQMP and ITPs; manage hold points and look-ahead submittals.
• Drive QIDR development and inspection/test verification.
• Support internal/external audits and corrective actions.
• Prepare quality reports and project documentation.
• Promote quality culture and guide related processes.
