Job summary

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to promote lean thinking and lead initiatives with project teams across the SSE-SRS package. You will drive problem solving and process improvements, support Last Planner System, and develop CI resources and training materials.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, 3–5 years of preconstruction/construction experience, and lean design knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in the preconstruction and construction phase of projects.
• Lean design and construction knowledge with certification (LCI or similar).
• Experience deploying lean design and construction methodologies.
• Experience applying problem-solving methodologies on projects.
• Experience with large, complex projects and joint ventures.

Responsibilities

• Champion lean thinking and promote a continuous improvement culture.
• Lead lean initiatives with project teams.
• Utilize lean tools to resolve problems and improve operations.
• Support collaboration between project participants and share best practices.
• Identify constraints and develop countermeasures with lean methods.
• Analyze and support improvements to work practices and productivity metrics.
• Perform workplace assessments and work-studies to streamline processes.
• Support Last Planner System and other lean methods.
• Document and present CI information for education and training.
