Job description

1-year term contract, 50% hybrid model in Downtown Vancouver

Must be based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area

Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa

Our client is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to help enhance the quality of their products and services. The position will be responsible for both automation and manual testing. This is a one-year term contract, concluding at the end of December 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Create, manage and execute test cases to ensure business requirements are met and the product is free from defects using various testing techniques such as exploratory, ad-hoc, acceptance, integration and regression.
• Identify, document, report and track defects found during testing.
• Develop and execute test scripts and maintain test automation framework.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and peers to deliver high quality software in an Agile environment in a timely manner.
• Communicate and provide status reports on test progress, test results, risks and other relevant information to the test lead and management.

Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in quality assurance methodologies, procedures and testing best practices.
• 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role with at least 2 years working with automation.
• Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium/TestNG.
• Experience in programming using C# or Java.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent discipline.
• Experience in testing mobile web applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with a wide range of audiences across the organization, including management.

Nice to Have:

• API testing experience with Postman or other tools.
• Knowledge of SQL query language.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile and Scrum methodology.
