Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst
Location: Edmonton (AB)
Type: Contract
Duration: 8 months
Work Type: Remote

Position Overview:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with a strong background in capital markets, investment management, or investment banking.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data validation, ETL testing, SQL, and reporting tools, as well as working within agile teams and large datasets.
• Knowledge of financial products and systems such as SimCorp Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin, Tibco, and Azure Databricks is highly desirable.
  

Mandatory Requirements:

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a QA Analyst role with strong operational knowledge of capital markets, investment management, or investment banking.
• 5+ years of experience in a QA Analyst role performing:
• Review of requirements and design documents
• Creation of test plans, test cases, and test data
• Execution of test cases and reporting of defects

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Experience with ETL testing and data quality verification
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and reconciliation
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Ability to analyze and work with large datasets
• Knowledge of the investment management domain
  

Desirable Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience supporting QA for one or more of the following:
  • SimCorp Dimension
  • Blackrock Aladdin
  • eFront
  • Tibco
  • Azure Databricks
• 5+ years of experience in Agile QA environments
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience using Tibco in QA roles
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure DevOps
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced SQL skills
