As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be testing our main application, as well as the periphery platforms that aid in the function of the aforementioned application. You will report directly to the Project Manager and maintain consistent communication with members of the company's Design and Engineering teams, comprising approximately 11 individuals.

Expectations

You will have to carry out your duties from home between the hours of 9am and 2pm EST (five hours a day) because our teams span across North America and the United Kingdom and live interactions are required to get some of the testing processes completed. Devices will be on loan by the company for testing purposes.

This is a permanent, part-time position that includes provided benefits (health and dental) and offers the potential to transition to full-time. Applicants must be eligible to work and reside in Canada. The starting pay rate is $26 per hour.

  • Maintains manual test logs and produces detailed technical reports on test results.
  • Collaborates regularly with Project Manager and Engineers to ensure urgent errors are fixed and deployed.
  • Regularly carries out regression, functional (blackbox), stress, and integration tests to make sure platform data aligns with software performance.
  • Tracks performance tickets that come through our IT support channels and logs all entries on the company's Google database.
  • Follows up with the engineering team on actioning a fix within the appropriate timelines.
  • Works synchronously with the Design Team and Project Manager to ensure implemented features adhere to final designs produced by the Design Team.
  • Performs Quality Control tests on new releases and determines whether they are fit for production.
  • Requires synchronous and regular back-and-forth communication with our engineering team to perform robust tests on staging builds.
  • Collaborates with the assigned engineer to ensure backend system functions as per required by the designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Proficient in using Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
  • Ability to navigate basic developer tools on multiple web browsers.
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing on mobile, desktop, and web applications.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Digital accessibility knowledge and quality assurance is an asset.

Applicants will be required to go through two interview processes where they may have to demonstrate their skills in the segments mentioned above. The first round of interviews will take place between February 17th-27th 2025. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

If you require accommodations and adjustments for the interview process, please include it in your application.
