Job summary

ESC Corporate Services Ltd in Toronto is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to help grow our business and contribute to our future. You will design and execute tests across complex, multi-component systems, review requirements, and create test cases to ensure quality.

Collaboration with Business Analysts, Developers and other QA staff is essential. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in software testing, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with SOAP/REST APIs and automation

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with 3-5 years software testing experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience testing SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design documentation to identify test conditions, gaps, risks, and appropriate test coverage.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test cases from business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing across multi-component systems.
• Test SOAP and REST APIs and integrations.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document defects; track issues and support resolution.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, QA peers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage and quality.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Solutions & Quality Assurance, key responsibilities include: What you’ll do:Review requirements and design documentation to identify test conditions, potential gaps, risks, and appropriate test coverage.Create and maintain comprehensive test cases based on business and technical requirements.Perform testing across complex, multi-component systems, including functional, regression, integration, and non-functional tests, as required.Test integrations and APIs, including SOAP web services and REST APIs.Investigate, reproduce, document, and track software defects reported internally or externally, providing clear information to support resolution.Validate defect fixes through retesting and appropriate regression testing.Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, other QA Analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and quality.Knowledge & Qualifications:Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field combined with 3-5 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
