Job summary

ESC Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our IT Solutions & Quality Assurance team in Canada. The role focuses on designing and executing tests across complex systems, including APIs and integrations, and collaborating with analysts, developers and stakeholders to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include creating test plans, executing tests, reporting defects, and validating fixes. A post-secondary degree in CS/IT and 3–5 years of QA experience are preferred.

Salary Range: The annual salary for this position ranges from $53,000.00 - 79,500.00. Exact compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and education.

The Quality Assurance Analyst plays an important role in our software development process, designing and executing tests across complex, multi-component systems. Reporting to the Manager, IT Solutions & Quality Assurance, key responsibilities include:

What you’ll do:

• Review requirements and design documentation to identify test conditions, potential gaps, risks, and appropriate test coverage.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform testing across complex, multi-component systems, including functional, regression, integration, and non-functional tests, as requested.
• Test integrations and APIs, including SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Investigate, reproduce, document, and track software defects reported internally or externally, providing clear information to support resolution.
• Validate defect fixes through retesting and appropriate regression testing.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, other QA Analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and quality.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field combined with 3-5 years of software testing or quality assurance experience. (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience testing SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Ability to deliver quality documentation & reports – status reports, test plans, test cases, bug tracking reports and risk assessments.
• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks, including creating, executing, or maintaining automated tests is an asset.
